'WARNING' How do we PREPARE for this? | CAMPING South EAST Queensland

Описание: This week we’re heading into one of our favourite beach towns — Woodgate, QLD — towing our Network RV caravan with the Next Gen Ford Ranger. We set up at the Woodgate Beach Hotel, with lush green grassy sites and the beach right across the road… but first, it’s prepper mode.

With wild storms and possible hail forecast, we fully cover the Ranger using rugs and mats, hoping to avoid any more damage. Thankfully, the storm completely fizzles out, and we wake up to a cracking day.

With rock-solid sand conditions, we head straight onto Woodgate Beach without even needing to drop tyre pressures, cruising down to the Burrum River outlet. It’s the perfect spot for a walk, a swim, and a game of paddle ball — quickly becoming a new favourite of ours.

Dinner at the pub doesn’t disappoint. Bryce gets adventurous and dives into a cob loaf, which turns out to be a surprisingly great choice.

Continuing south toward Brisbane, we roll into the small town of Kandanga, staying at the country club. Cheap powered and unpowered sites, water included, a bowls green attached, and green fees included with your stay — not bad at all.

After checking WikiCamps, we stumble upon a hidden gem: Amamoor State Forest, with the Amama Walk on our list. It’s a short stroll to a small waterfall — smaller than expected, but absolutely perfect for cooling off on a hot, steamy day. Bryce pushes Chelsea’s safety meter to its limits by climbing further up the falls for a look around.

Dinner nearly becomes a disaster when Chelsea accidentally cooks an entire packet of English muffins in the air fryer… but it all comes together with steak tacos — a new staple meal for us.

Next, we head south of Brisbane and pull into the Beenleigh Showgrounds for a few nights to catch up with friends Alex and Erin from @nowornever_aus, while ticking off some touristy activities. A tasting at Beenleigh Artisan Distillery is a must, followed by smashing golf balls at Topgolf on the Gold Coast.
