Dry Fly Fishing with a Huge Trico Hatch - It Was On!! Best Day of the Season for Us.

We spent almost 3 hours fishing to a couple of huge pods just below the dam put in above Wolf Creek. It gets challenging with so many bugs on the water but it is so much fun to see them rise on your fly...wait and set the hook.
Fishing has been tough this season for us and it was great to have a really good day. Most days we caught 4 to 6 with a few days of 10 to 12 fish. With only one of us fishing at a time we do have reasonable expectations of how many we will catch. Certainly 20 fish days with are expectional these days.
