It’s pretty safe to say that Naruto’s growth throughout the series has been exponential especially compared to how he started at the beginning of the series. In just the first chapter, we get a fairly good demonstration of the caliber of shinobi Naruto was, that being painfully subpar, with Naruto failing to even produce a single clone. I specifically said clone since this wasn’t even the shadow clones jutsu, but rather the E-Rank base clone jutsu that everyone in Academy has to perform to graduate. Now when you compare this lackluster introduction to the god-like level that Naruto achieved by the end of the series, it begs the question of at what point did he actually achieve that level of strength. As it relates to his god status that can easily be attributed to chapter 671 when he receives Six Path Powers from the Sage of Six Paths, however a moment that is a lot more difficult to pin-point, is when Naruto became Kage level and subsequently surpassed his predecessors.
