Quick tutorial on how to do self-myofascial (SMR) release on the lower leg muscles using a tennis or lacrosse ball(s).
SMR is an effective and inexpensive way to help break down blockages, stimulate hydration, decrease scar tissue adhesions, increase joint mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function by make the muscle tissue and connective more pliable which helps joint mechanics.
SMR works very well in conjunction with a corrective exercise or postural therapy program to retrain the body back towards a "blue-print" design.
