KHAZAR
The Neftchala Industrial District, established under the Order dated 2015 of the President of Azerbaijan, was inaugurated on September 24, 2017 with the participation of the Head of State.

Seven production areas, two-storey administrative building, technical and auxiliary buildings meeting the highest standards have been built in the Industrial District.


One of the largest enterprises in the Neftchala Industrial District is “AzKron” LLC car manufacturing plant.

Azerbaijan-Iran Joint Venture, which of annual manufacturing capacity is 10,000 cars plans to manufacture 6,000 cars at the first stage - by the end of 2019. The enterprise is expected to export 2,000 cars annually. 300 people will be employed at the enterprise.

Since the end of 2019, most of the spare parts of these cars are planned to be manufactured in Azerbaijan. "Azermash" OJSC is interested in creation of car industry in other regions of our country.

In the car manufacturing plant “AzKron” LLC established based on the advanced technologies, car models such as Khazar, Peugeot, Renault will be manufactured.

For the purpose of in-depth analysis of the current state of the economy and the development of a new economic development strategy to ensure the sustainability of economic policy and reforms implemented in the country, “Main directions of strategic roadmap on national economy and major sectors of economy” have been approved by Order No. 1897 of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated March 16, 2016.

AzKron LLC automobile manufacturing plant, based on modern technologies,producing such models as Khazar, Peugeot and Renault.

AzerMash OJSC - Iran Khodro Joint Venture “Khazar” car plant, with an annual production of 10,000 vehicles, will produce 6,000 vehicles at the first stage, such as Runna, Samand, Soren, Dena, Peugeot, Reno, by the end of 2019. These cars will be sold mainly in the local market.

The enterprise is expected to export 2,000 vehicles annually. Khazar cars are expected to be exported, first of all to the Russian market, then to be delivered also to Ukraine and Central Asian countries in the future.

A major Iranian automaker Iran Khodro and Azerbaijani company Azeurocar, a subsidiary of AzerMash, signed an agreement on August 6, 2016 to establish a joint automobile plant in the Neftchala Industrial Zone.

The total cost of the project is estimated at $ 14.08 million. Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan holds 75 percent share while 25 percent belongs to Iran. Regarding the quality, brand received a quality certificate of "Euro 5". Cars have been sold since summer 2018.

Recently, production of Peugeot cars under the brand name Khazar has been launched in the Neftchala industrial park.

Azerbaijan, which is currently working to develop its car industry and encouraging interior purchases, is developing its own automobile manufacturing market.

As many as 969 cars were produced in 2018, which is 32.4 times more than in 2017. Such a sharp increase in the production of cars in the country was achieved by a joint Azerbaijani-Iranian factory Khazar in the Neftchala industrial park.


“The prices for cars manufactured will vary at 14,000-20,000 manats ($8,211-11,730). In the future, if we decide to establish production of car parts, the price may drop by 12-13 percent,”
