This video is for educational purposes and just meant to show how Glock magazines sit too low in the magwell that it will not feed my duty Speer Gold Dot G3 147 grain hollowpoints, even after having the feedcone on my 9mm Faxon barrel enhanced by Rudy at Macon Armory.
Rudy says this is a well known issue with these Spike's Tactical AR9 lowers that take Glock magazines. In all fairness, this AR9 gobbles up 9mm ball ammo, even with the current position of the mag. Rudy has a "solid design" solution for this issue, but doesn't have someone to build it. Apparently, the Aero Precision 9mm lowers have the same issue as this Spike's ST9G model, & he has already made and sold replacement mag catches for them. And apparently, he is currently sold out on those mag catches.
Now, all I can do is wait to see if he will finally make one for these Spike's ST9G lowers.
