500–600 g Bottle Gourd (Lauki)
½ cup Whole Masoor Dal (Red Lentils without skin)
1 large Tomato
1 inch Ginger
1 tbsp Raw Peanuts
1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds
10–12 Black Peppercorns
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds (or Cumin as alternative)
1 small piece Cinnamon Stick
1 Bay Leaf
1 Dry Red Chilli
1 tbsp Gram Flour (Besan)
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp Sugar
Salt to taste
2–3 tbsp Mustard Oil (or any cooking oil)
1 tbsp Desi Ghee
Fresh Coriander Leaves (for garnish)
1 cup Water (for pressure cooking, as needed)
