Like most movies, Dawn wasn't the smoothest transition from page to screen, with rewrites, funding, and the dreaded MPAA getting in the way. But while the zombie genre has raged on since Romero's initial Night Of The Living Dead, many people would agree that it doesn't get any better than his masterpiece Dawn Of The Dead.
