SHANGHAI CHINA FAMILY TRAVEL VLOG: Wukang Road, Wukang Mansion and Apoli Itabakery

Описание: Hi family, it’s our Day 3 in Shanghai, China and today we decided to take a free and easy day exploring Wukang Road in a relaxed, calm and slow vibe. The main attraction you will find here is the Wukang Mansion (Building) and you can also take a quick visit to the popular and instagramable bakery which is the Apoli Itabakery.

Wukang Mansion is located at the intersection of Wukang Road and Huaihai Middle Road, is a protected historic apartment building renowned for its unique wedge shape, often compared to New York's Flatiron Building.

Designed by Hungarian-Slovak architect László Hudec and completed in 1924, it is a key architectural landmark in Shanghai's former French Concession area.

📍Address: No. 1850 Middle Huaihai Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai.

Architecture: The building is in the French Renaissance style and is Shanghai's first exterior corridor-style apartment.

History: It has been home to many celebrities over the decades and is a significant piece of Shanghai's modern history.

Visiting: The exterior of the building is open for public viewing all day with free admission, and the best photo spot is from the diagonal corner intersection to capture its full shape.


Apoli Itabakery:
Apoli Itabakery is a highly popular Italian-inspired bakery located just across the street from the Wukang Mansion, known for its "Harry Potter" vibes and delicious pastries. The interior features stone walls, terrazzo floors, and dried flowers, creating a cozy and magical atmosphere.

📍Address: No. 380 Xingguo Road, Changning District, Shanghai.

Menu Highlights: Popular items include savory options like pastrami beef and truffle sandwiches, as well as sweet treats such as blueberry tarts and maritozzo.

Price: Most items are affordably priced, generally ranging from ¥20–¥40.

Tips: The bakery often has long queues, especially on weekends; visiting earlier in the day is recommended for a more relaxed experience.
