Elevator Breaks on Video! Otis Series 1 Elevator at Baymont Inn and Suites, Madison Heights MI

This is a basic late 80s Otis Series 1 hydraulic elevator at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Madison Heights Michigan. This hotel used to be a Fairfield Inn before Wyndham bought it out.
The first ride I took on this elevator went smoothly as I expected but after I returned to the first floor and was going to take a 2nd round trip the elevator broke. It started moving up a few inches and then started going down a few inches as if it were trying to level with the floor properly. The elevator continued this pattern of going up a few inches and then going down over and over. Thankfully the elevator was within the 1st floor landing so I was able to open the door with the door open button. It was definitely a strange encounter though that's for sure and I'm glad I got it on video.
