When does a big lure come into play? We went to do some offshore fishing targeting any pelagic fish using the trolling style of fishing. Usually I make and run 7" lures and they seem to get the job done. However, I wanted to test if using a larger lure means hooking/attracting larger fish. so I made a 9" lure to test that theory. While most of the day was slow we got lucky and got 2 Shibi (juvenile Yellowfin Tuna). We were happy with that. But fate had different plans. Getting lucky in the blind, we caught a nice size Yellowfin Tuna. Stoked on the new lure. Until next time. Shootees!
