Here are TWO recipes to make delicious southern She Crab Soup! First, I'll share an easy recipe to make it with everyday store bought ingredients. For those of you who catch your own blue crabs, I'll share with you how to make a 100% authentic recipe with crab stock and roe! Delicious!
For the best She Crab soup, you should use an ingredient called Mace, so I'll also explain this mysterious spice!

She Crab Soup
One Serving
4 to 6 oz Drained Lump Crab Meat, Fresh Packed or Canned
1 Cup Chicken Stock
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
2 T Minced Shallot
2 T Minced Celery
1 1/2 T Unsalted Butter, Divided
1 T All Purpose Flour
1/4 tsp Hot Sauce ( or smidgen cayenne ) & Worcestershire Sauce
Smidgen Mace and White Pepper
Salt to Taste
Serve with Sherry, Chives, and Saltine Crackers
Authentic
She Crab Soup
One Serving
4 to 6 oz Fresh Picked Blue Crab Meat
2 T Blue Crab Roe
1 Cup Crab Stock
1\2 Cup Heavy Cream
2 T Minced Shallot
2 T Minced Celery
1 1/2 T Unsalted Butter, Divided
1 T All Purpose Flour
1/4 tsp Hot Sauce ( or smidgen cayenne ) & Worcestershire Sauce
Smidgen Mace and White Pepper
Salt to Taste
Serve with Sherry, Chives, and Saltine Crackers
