After the hurricane, the river changed.
Floodwaters pushed salt deep inland. Visibility dropped to zero. Debris drifted through brown current that looked harmless from the surface.
That’s when the bull sharks came.
A group of kayakers enters what used to be a calm North Carolina river system. By the time they realize they are not alone, the shoreline is too far, the current too strong, and the water too murky to see what’s circling beneath them.
Bull sharks are different.
They don’t need open ocean.
They don’t leave after the first strike.
And in water this dark… you don’t see the second one coming.
