It has two further sub organizations on the bases of two fields. #Engineering and #Research.
#Internet #Engineering #Steering #Group (IESG) is on engineering side that is responsible for for technical management of its task force #IETF known as #Internet #Engineering #Task Force and internet standards that we discussed in last video. IETF addresses short term and midterm internet issues. IETF has working Groups which work which work on #Internet, #TCP/IP, #Network, #Operations, #Routing, #Security, #Transport and User Services,
On the research side there are #Internet #Research #Steering #Group usually known as (IRSG) which oversees the operation of #Internet #Research #Task #Force (IRTF). IRTF works on long term research projects. It investigates topic considered to be uncertain, advanced, either not well understood or not part of standard process. It has working groups also.
