Quick Repair to Our RV Inner Skylight. Removal, Repair & Reinstall. And We Add Window Film To It.

Описание: In doing some mods and repairs to our RV bathroom, we found something that needed our attention. The inner skylight was coming apart. This led to another two minute fix. Well, ok, maybe cleaning it took a bit more than 2 minutes but the fix qualifies!

The heat in the skylight caused the mounting tape on the cover of the inner skylight to give away and it was no longer sticking. A quick removal, clean and applying some stronger tape took care of the issue. And it allowed us to do another quick project!

We added some window film. Now, according to the manufacturer, the film will help with heat loss, protect agains heat in the summer and most important for us - provide some protection from UV. So we decided to give it a try. This also was a quick install - less than 10 minutes and all tools necessary were provided with the film.

This is the tape we used. We wanted something that would stand up to the high temperatures and this one is up to 248F and is weatherproof per the manufacturer (although as this is an inner skylight - we really hope that doesn't need to be tested!)

And the skylight cover / insulator. This one we purchased about 6 months ago to stop the yellowing in the shower. We really like it as it comes with the straps that snap into place so it can't fall out. But, it is easy to snap on and off when we want light.
