DEMON DRINK and The Haunted Gherkin

Описание: This video's not my typical effort about walking in the countryside, the quality of my pie, or the history of parts of Scotland. It's about giving up alcohol.

Since making the video and deciding to give up the drink, my willpower has folded and I've consumed another bucketload of beer in any number of public houses in Glasgow. Nevertheless, I still felt that the video was worth uploading as it may resonate with others who feel their drinking is getting out of hand.

I've also added a short and hopefully humorous bit of audio at the end, just to lighten things up a bit. It's about gherkins.

But make no mistake, this is all about turning one's back on the Demon Drink.

Many people succeed in giving up alcohol. Many find hurdles and hiccups along the way; this world has a habit of kicking you in the teeth when it all seems to be going so well. It's a journey, one of many in life, where you make all the plans but are never too sure just how it's going to go or if you'll ever reach your destination.

So here we go. To be honest, I love old pubs so much that it's unlikely that I'll manage to give up. But I hope to at least cut down to a level that is less harmful on my wallet and my health. It's all about moderation.
