Game #3 - Treat Roll-Up
Here's another great game to play when you're stuck indoors.
Have fun with dog training and help build confidence in your dog with this simple game. Each of these three dogs approach the game a little differently. What does your dog do when presented with this game? If they aren't quite sure what to do, help them out and keep encouraging them. Using extra special smelly tasty treats helps too!
🐾 Grab a towel or small blanket and some treats.
🐾 Lay several treats out in various spots on the towel.
🐾 Roll the towel up similar to a jelly-roll
🐾 Let your pup work to find all the treats and enjoy!
Because the treats aren't easy to get, the dogs have to be persistent and keep trying even when they fail repeatedly. This helps build resilience and confidence for them to try new things.
New Things = Challenging AND fun & rewarding!!!
Always supervise your dog while playing this game.
