This transition isn’t about becoming perfect, it’s about being made new.
Baptism marked a turning point in my life, but the journey didn’t end there. Every day is still a battle between my flesh and my faith. Spiritual warfare is real. Old habits, old mindsets, temptation, fear, insecurity, and the lies of the enemy don’t disappear overnight. But I’ve learned that victory isn’t found in my own strength—it’s found in Christ.
The farther I grow in my faith, the more I realize this journey isn’t about becoming someone else—it’s about surrendering the parts of me that were never aligned with God’s purpose in the first place. What was once driven by the flesh is being refined through faith, wisdom, and discernment. Not because I’ve perfected myself, but because God is continually working on my heart.
I’m still growing. I’m still learning. I’m still surrendering. But I refuse to let my past define what God is restoring.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
To anyone fighting silent battles, struggling to let go of who you used to be, or feeling trapped by the enemy’s lies: God can restore what feels broken. Keep your eyes fixed on Him. The process may not be easy, but there is freedom, healing, and purpose on the other side of surrender.
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” — Proverbs 18:10
We’re not called to be perfect. We’re called to be made new.
If you’re in a position of letting go, don’t let shame convince you to look back. God isn’t asking for perfection, He’s asking for surrender. Trust the process He is working in you.
