Plot:
Elisabeth is abused by her alcoholic husband Rolf. She moves away from him together with her children Eva (Emma Samuelsson) and Stefan. Elisabeth's brother Göran lives in the collective Together, and that's where Elisabeth and the children move in.
In Together, Anna and Lasse live with their son Tet. Anna and Lasse are divorced because Anna discovered she was homosexual during therapy. Erik also resides in the collective. He comes from an upper-class family, which he denies. He has changed his name from Silverskiöld to Andersson and works at a welding shop. The collective also houses Klas (Shanti Roney), who is homosexual and looking for a partner. He has his eyes on Lasse, who rejects him. Elisabeth's brother Göran has a girlfriend in the collective named Lena, who mistreats Göran. She wants an open relationship, and he is too kind to object. The collective is a caricature of the alternative left of the time. In the film, Signe (Cecilia Frode) and her family leave the collective.
