Lakshmipriya is the daughter and disciple of Violinist Dr. R. Hemalatha. She is one of the young, highly talented and upcoming artists in carnatic music. She is an A Graded artiste of All India Radio. She holds a Masters degree in Indian Music from the University of Madras, where she secured the Gold Medal, being the rank holder of her batch. At present, she is pursuing Doctorate in Music at the Department of Indian Music, University of Madras.
Lakshmipriya is supported by a team of popular artists who are immensely talented in their respective instruments.
This is an Endowment concert in memory of Prof. Jayalakshmi Sreenivasan.
The concert has been recorded at Sai Rocks studio, Chennai
