History will soon be a compulsory subject for grade 10 to 12 learners in the country. The Basic Education ministerial task team tabled its report on history in schools, and recommended, that history be taught as a compulsory subject. Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga, received the report and dismissed suggestions that the proposal will benefit ANC agenda and propaganda.
