Train Mountain sits on approximately 2200 acres, 3.5 square miles, of dry side forest land. With the recent incidents of devastating wild land fires, making TM property as fire safe as possible is a high priority. The 2020 2-4-2 Fire, that burned approximately 800 acres of Train Mountain, might have been far less severe if TM could have started this project sooner. Forest management will result in a healthier forest overall.
To make a forest safer and healthier, the use of brush mulching equipment is necessary. This video shows the arrival and unloading ("unboxing") of the FECON FTX150, as was delivered by Pape Machinery.
