We explore the Shawnee National Forest's most infamous area, often referred to as "Snake Road" where, during migration season, dozens of species of snakes can be seen making their way to/from their summer/winter homes. Unfortunately, we were too early in the fall migration and didn't see any snakes. But the migration covers 56 species of both snakes and amphibians, and we sure seen the amphibians! Along with dragonflies, ducks, herons, bald eagles, egrets, and even a soft shell turtle.
