Tile Shower Pan Repair --- Replacing Hot Mop with Pan Liner and Saving Walls

Описание: This large steam shower, only three years old, had a hot mop tile shower pan leaking at the curb. Since it was connected to a large jacuzzi drop-in tub that shared a wall with the shower, we felt it would be best to repair only the pan and save the walls. However, replacing the marble slab would have also meant repairing the shower pan. By doing this we were able to save the homeowner tens of thousands of dollars.

Tile Redi pans eliminate the vulnerable failure points of other shower pan systems, such as Pan Liners, Schluter Kerdi, Wedi, Hydroblock, and Redgard. In those systems, the pan and wall connection are at or below the shower's waterline and are often just connected in the field with sealant or thinset. The drain is a separate piece and must be secured to the pan with thinset or sealant. Installer error is common with these systems, leading to catastrophic water and structural damage.
