Welcome to Rocky Gap State Park. Our visit there was too short for all there is to do. Rocky Gap State Park is a Maryland State Park located in Flintstone Maryland. It offers NINE camping loops, small cabins, a hotel, trails, beautiful Lake Habeeb, swimming, fishing, a casino, kayak rentals, wildlife, and more!

Heads Up: 3:00 check-in time is enforced. There is a large parking lot to hang out in and you are welcome to check out the other areas of the park while you wait.

What we love about Rocky Gap State Park:
1. Maryland State Parks offer discounts to certain groups with a pass purchase. Check out their website. Camping fees are reasonable.
2. We are adding this to our reviews - You do not have to pay an additional fee, in addition to your camping fee, just to drive your vehicle or vehicles into the campground. Thank you, Maryland State Parks.
3. Campsites are huge and provide privacy.
4. If you love the mountains, you'll love the woods, rocks, and hills here.
5. Plenty to do here and in the area.
6. Rustic cabins have air conditioning.
7. Verizon works well.

What we didn't love about Rocky Gap State Park:
1. Limited electric sites here and 30 amp only.
2. There are no water hook-ups, but there is water available to fill your fresh water tank.

Most sites here are primitive.
