The next graduating class of eagles at Essex Middle School spread their wings on Thursday as they prepare to leave the nest for their next adventure. More than 100 eight graders are now picking their high school classes for the fall. But not before celebrating a classmate who they lost along the way. 12-year-old Addi Carroll died in 2022 to a disease doctors were never able to diagnose. A gift to her family, and an honorary member of the Essex Fire Department, Addi was a light in the darkness to all who knew her.
