The cool air and fog fills the valleys of the Blue Mountains on a fall morning, but aside from the fog, steam fills the air of the small town of Rockhill Furnace. On the morning of October 5th and 6th, 2024, the Friends of the East Broad Top Railroad hosted a special charter train behind locomotive #16, between Rockhill Furnace and Colgate Grove, just outside of Shirleysburg. This special train consisted of locomotive 16, 8 hoppers and a coach for the FEBT members. The fog was a very nice touch for this early morning train, and made for some amazing scenes along the line.
