WILMINGTON, Ohio (WKRC) - A local woman is taking on the United States government.
Sherry Chen was wrongly accused of being a spy. The feds claimed she tried passing information about American dams to China, but the charges were dropped the next year.
She was supposed to get her job back at the National Weather Service office in Wilmington. She's getting paid, but the Commerce Department is not allowing her to go back to work.
Chen's lawyers are suing the government for malicious prosecution and false arrest.
