This listen-and-learn roundtable explores the great range of Jewish musical expression in the long arch of Canadian history. Expert panelists offer insight on three Jewish musical cultures from three distinct moments, with musical samples and commentary: Eric Stein on pre-WWII Yiddish immigrant musical worlds, Christopher Silver on post-war Sephardi / Moroccan immigrant musical worlds, and Miranda Crowdus on the contemporary Montreal / Canadian musical scene with its hybrid mix of immigrant musical worlds.
