Yesterday, December 26th, 2025 was one of those days that keep me coming back season after season to work on Brian Head Ski Patrol. It snowed on and off all, the wind was pretty strong but not hurricane force like it had been on Wednesday, two days earlier. There were a lot of guests, the snow was so firmly packed that in places it felt truly like ice, this made for the perfect storm that unfortunately can lead to quite a few injuries - mostly due to the higher speeds and extremely hard surface conditions.
I was able to help a few people and managed to get myself and one of our new Patrollers lost in the woods west of the resort. Nonetheless the day was epic, beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better day!
