Fishing at New Zealand's most iconic beach - HOT WATER BEACH, Coromandel

Описание: The hot water beach in Coromandel is probably New Zealand's most famous beach.
There is natural hot water seeping out onto the beach and at low tide you can dig your very own private hot pool here. What a treat after a hard day fishing.
This beach is usually overcrowded with tourists but with recent Covid restrictions in New Zealand, we had the beach almost to ourselves.

At the other end of the hot water beach are some nice steeper drop offs, providing great surf fishing opportunities.
Equipped with our fishing drone, we ventured out to see what the fishing here is like in late winter.
Sure enough we hooked into some nice fish but apart from one small snapper we lost them all.
Later we found out that our hooks were very blunt and with better hooks we could have probably landed a few better fish as we were getting lots of bites.
