New details emerge following an FBI raid at a multimillion-dollar mansion in Tampa’s ultra-exclusive Avila community. Authorities arrested Michelle Brannon, connected to the Kingdom of God Global Church, on charges of forced labor and wire fraud.
Federal investigators allege Brandon and church leader David E. Taylor coerced followers to work long hours in fundraising call centers, using religious manipulation, sleep deprivation, and threats to extract millions in donations. Victims were allegedly denied food and punished for not meeting quotas.
Brandon appeared in a Tampa federal court but has been granted a transfer to Michigan, where the church is based and where she will face charges.
The Trinity Foundation, a watchdog group that investigates televangelists, has tracked this ministry for over 7 years and claims Taylor made fraudulent healing claims to enrich himself and others.
