****LOTUS GUAN YIN****
The image of Lotus Guan Yin compassionately sitting on the lotus leaf is a metaphor to remind sentient beings in the six realms that the lotus grows out of mud, and the lotus blooms are pure and untainted. Therefore, we should not be obsessed with the false appearance of the material world. We should vow to emerge from the mud and not be stained, as those who have transcended the six realms and attained Buddhahood for the benefit of all six realms sentient beings.

In Buddhism, the budding lotus flower is a metaphor for the innate Buddha nature of sentient beings that is not yet revealed. The half-bloomed lotus flower is a metaphor for the newly developed bodhicitta of sentient beings who are learning good deeds. The lotus flower that has already bloomed is a metaphor for the fullness of bodhichitta and the realization of their inner Buddha nature.The lotus flower is a symbolic reminder to all sentient beings to practice the Six Paramitas practices to awaken their inner Buddha nature and attain their Buddhahood.

As soon as the Buddha descended into the world, Buddha took seven steps, and with each step, a lotus flower emerged naturally under his feet. In the scriptures, the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is full of lotus flowers. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have lotus flowers as their Dharma seats.
