An Iranian ex-beauty queen Bahareh Zare Bahari, sought by Iran on criminal charges, has been granted political asylum in the Philippines. She was detained at a Philippine airport for nearly a month after Iran issued an Interpol red alert for her on assault and battery charges, that she has denied. "They'll kill me," Bahari said if she's deported to Iran.
