In 2009 Maria Luz took on the challenge of completing her first Ironman and from then on this has become her main passion. With great effort and discipline, Maria Luz, achieves what no other athlete in Ecuador has achieved and becomes champion of the 2014 Ironman in Arizona. Maria Luz describes the Ironman as the major introspection and self-knowledge process she has gone through, learning to take conscience of her body and her mind.
