Описание: One of the challenges with using MMA, when marking on newly laid asphalt surfaces, is the presence of oils. These oils bleed for a period and if MMA is applied before these oils are gone, they seep into the markings and discolour them, as well as compromising the adhesion of the marking to the surface.

However, Meon have now developed a process of applying MMA markings onto new asphalt as soon as it is laid which allows for road resurfacing programmes to be completed with the highest performing markings exceeding Highways England’s performance safety standards for durability and retro-reflectivity and greatly outperforming alternative methods whilst improving sustainability.

The Vialine F210 acrylic lining paint can be utilised, due to its high solids content and fast drying performance, as a primer. It is sprayed on the new asphalt which can be either black, so it cannot be seen, or white which can provide a temporary marking if time or weather constraints prevent the MMA markings for being applied in the same shift. This process will absorb the bleed oils from the asphalt and forms a strong bond with the substrate, as well as providing a surface which has a very strong intercoat adhesion to MMA markings.

Any of our MMA line marking products can then be applied onto this surface, whether it’s the hand applied UltraLine L210, UltraStripe L224, or through the winter months the Basler MP12 Rapid. This process can be very handy for using with the UltraLine L210 as it provides the outline of the marking to apply so you don’t need to mark out the lines or informative markings.


This solution allows line markings to be applied as soon after surfacing as required, keeping your project on track and in time.

You can now enjoy the performance of MMA markings right from the beginning of the surface life, results exceed Highways England Safety standard lasting 3 times longer and retro reflective level of over 300mcd.

On top of this, the application process is with small machines, even electric, and not hot works ensuring minimum carbon emissions
