U.S. Senate leaders spoke on Tuesday about the looming government shutdown after Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Democrats turned down an offer to prevent a shutdown.
During the press conferences, McConnell said he believed despite Democrats turning the offer down, he was "convinced" a government shutdown wouldn't happen.
