The unsolved mystery that is, The Lady of the Dunes, continues to haunt Provincetown to this day. The 26th July, 1974 witnessed one of the most mysterious events, that remains no closer to a conclusion in 2018 than it did in the 1970s. The Lady of the Dunes has fascinated and unnerved authorities both then and today as the lack of evidence in every aspect of the investigation has lead the town no closer to un-derstanding who the victim was and who ended her life.
This video will look at how the woman died, how she was discovered and the attempts to pursue this investigation as well as the identity of those responsible.
