Another one! This makes 3/11! (SIX REGEN FIGHTS in this run! 😵 was 8 that day! in total for all attempts!)

I really enjoyed playing the Handler! Similar to the Engineer, I'm not usually the type to play with summoner classes and prefer the solo approach. I loved playing with our doge and he felt like our partner in crime that provided great aggro from our enemies, helped a lot on some boss mechanics such as Shrewds eggs and of course the revive!

Whilst I feel Handler isn't going to be the hardest of archetypes to play within this challenge run series due to the revive the dog can provide - I do feel there were other difficulties that came up that are unique to the Handler.

1. False sense of security with the mobs and aggro. There were a few times I was caught surprised because I assumed aggro was being taken by our good boy and ended up being rear ended.

2. We died a few times in N'erud due to our loyal companion sticking close to me even after being ordered away, and would confuse me on who the projectiles were aiming towards. Case in point I died to a barrage of missles thinking they were going for me only to go for our loyal companion and I ran into them during their acceleration at the mid way point.

3. Probably unintended, but at times unique and buggy situations occurred such as 2 purple cubes being summoned instead of one during cube boss fight. MANY more enemies spawning than what one would normally see all at once, etc.

4. The guns on this loadout whilst being nicely balanced for a lot of occassions, provided pretty weak stagger ability on enemies. This made N'erud robots and other such enemies more dangerous as they were incapable of being CC'd.

Overall I loved breaking down the pros and cons of the Handler and how to best navigate them to get this challenge done! I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did. See you in the next one 😁

This is the 3rd completion of our Hardcore Apolcaypse Solo Archetype New Character Series! 3/11 completed 💪

A brand new character on Hardcore Apocalypse. Only using the Archetype we choose and its starting loadout for the rest of the run - Armour and Weapons included, nothing can be removed!

No rings or necklaces are allowed to be purchased from Ward 13. This includes incredible rings like Black Cat Band that make a multiplicative difference to difficult runs like these. No cheese or exploits that's clearly not intended within the game, and no Main Quest Boss skipping! We're fighting everyone we meet 👊
