Join Erica Moulton, Assistant Professor of Literature, Writing & Film, for a lecture on "Edna Ferber: Middlebrow Author, Copyright Pioneer." This session will explore the career of Edna Ferber, bestselling author of Giant, So Big, and Show Boat, focusing on her groundbreaking work in negotiating motion picture rights and her relationship with Hollywood studios. Moulton will also discuss Ferber’s role in shaping how bestselling novels are adapted in Hollywood today.
Kari Borne, Outreach Program Associate Director from UW-Whitewater, will introduce the session.This lecture is part of the Fairhaven Lecture Series.
