FILM FACT: As well as the ‘Airport’ films of the 1970s, much of the inspiration for Airplane! (1980) came from Zero Hour! (1957). So much so that the makers of Airplane felt they needed to obtain the rights from Warner Bros. and Paramount. It cost them about $2,500. This is my attempt to find the similarities. Stay until the end for a bonus clip!
A different kind of random this week. I got a little obsessed thinking the two films, hence this edit, hunting down the similarities and trying to align them. I just wanted to see if I could and here is the result. I hope you enjoy it. There’s a lot going on at times, but it’s worth staying until the end.
