This weekend I spent some time travelling up the Yorke peninsula for the port Pirie annual bird show. I stopped at the Nelshaby reservoir; a great spot for coots, grebes and ducks as well as many parrots and other bird in the surrounding gumtrees. Another stop was the small town of stone hut; stone hut is a rural town with a small bakery and an animal park, close to the bakery are some eco lodge surrounded by bush land. The bush land is rich in bird life but specially the Apostle bird a favourite of mine. Our last stop on Sunday was the very reliable port Augusta arid botanical gardens where was lucky enough to see my first pair wild Zebra finches on the channel which I believe is the highlight of the video.
