Today: I swapped tires, made DIY leaf-spring clamps, showed the dry-rot I found, and did a quick burnout + outside 0–60 launch. This is part 1 — more runs + times coming in the next video.

Hardware / materials I used
Flat stock: 3/16" × 1" mild steel, cut into four pieces at 4.25" each
Fasteners: 4 × 1/2" × 4" Grade 8 bolts + 8 washers + 4 Grade 8 nuts
Tires: Used Goodyear Wrangler (soft compound, visible dry-rot)
Quick notes
• The clamps clamp the main leaf to the companion leaves to reduce axle wrap and wheel hop — placement is covered in the video.
• The tires were softer and should hook better in theory, but dry-rot will affect traction and longevity — more testing in the next video.
