Join us on a scenic and historic railroad adventure at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, California—home to the famous movie star Sierra Railway Locomotive #3. In this video, we explore the roundhouse, car barn, and movie barn, take a walk through the yard, and enjoy a full 45-minute round-trip train ride through California’s beautiful Gold Country.
From the rhythmic sound of Locomotive #3 under steam to the rich history preserved on site, this video captures the charm, nostalgia, and excitement of one of the state’s most iconic heritage railroads.
Train rides operate Saturdays and Sundays from April through October, and Wednesdays from June 11 through August 13.
