From 1940 to 1965 there were four ramp style baseball games. The last one was the 1965 Irving Kaye Batting Practice pitch and bat baseball arcade game. Though the game was made by Irving Kaye, it uses Bally pinball EM parts (relays, score reels, coils, motor.) It is a single player game and quite fun, as the ball comes off the elevated ramp and the player must hit the ball in the air to score runs. It's not real baseball scoring unfortunately (there's no base hits, only home runs), but frankly no one that plays it seems to mind! Covered in this video are modifications made to the game to increase the fun factor.
We also cover the history of the four 1940 to 1965 ramp baseball games. Of course we cover the Irving Kaye first, but at the end of the video we go through the other three ramp games.
