Ffestiniog Railway George England 0-4-0ST+T of 1894 No. 4 Palmerston made a return visit to the Vale of Rheidol Railway in 2024. The locomotive was retubed in Aberystwyth earlier in the year and spent the summer season operating services on the VoR.
With a train formed of 3 Great Western Railway livered carriages and brake van, saw the train work along the line to Capel Bangor in the morning, before a second run around the days service trains proceeding to Aberffrwd and Devil's Bridge.
The little steam locomotive visited the Vale of Rheidol in the days of steam, initially in the summer of 1912, returning in 1913 and 1914, 1930, 1921 and 1922 and has previously returned in preservation.
