With the brand new cable termination the installation can be done in less than one hour.

Combining proven and reliable technology with innovative thinking and world class engineering, ABB in Alingsås has developed and qualified (according to IEC 60840, Um 145 kV) a self supporting dry outdoor cable termination.
Pre-assembled
The pre-assembled termination - a composite insulator with integrated base part, support pipe, stress relief cone and insulating compound - is delivered as one unit from factory and ready to be installed right out the box. Fewer components to install minimizes risk for mistakes - safety by simplicity.

Pre-filled at factory
The termination is pre-filled with an insulating material (silicone compound) under secure conditions at factory. This means no time consuming filling of insulating material at site. It also means no risk for leakage, less environmental impact.

Assembly time - less than an hour
The installation time at site will be remarkably short. After cable preparation the cable termination is completed within the hour. Compared to conventional oil filled termination that take at least five hours this is a significant reduction in time.
