Back in the mid to early 90's there were not that many polygon based arcade games mainly due to the technology being too expensive and well, really slow. So Japanese software developers started to make 3D games using sprites. Sega were by far the most advanced in this form of gaming with Taito following close behind.
In Volume 10 of Retro Core 5, we take a look at 10 classic sprite based 3D games.
