The Anti-Drugs Music Fest 2026, themed “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life,” was successfully organised by the Leparada Youth Front with the objective of creating awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The programme was graced by Dr. Karmar Dirchi, District Medical Officer (DMO), Leparada, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the serious physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse. He encouraged young people to adopt positive habits and seek timely medical support when needed.
The event was also joined by the Superintendent of Police, Leparada, Dr. Thuptan Jambey, along with several other senior officers and officials from different departments. In his address, the SP emphasized the role of law enforcement, community participation, and parental guidance in preventing drug-related activities and safeguarding the future of the youth.
Adding a powerful human touch to the programme, individuals who had successfully overcome drug addiction shared their personal experiences and journeys of recovery. Their testimonies inspired many attendees and sent a strong message of hope, transformation, and resilience.
