We tried to hire bikes 🚲 in Levanto to cycle to Bonassola and Framura! But it was a Sunday in November and the cycle shops were closed for the day! 🤯 Ok. So we didn't let that stop us having a fun day. 🙂

TRANSPORT:
📍From Monterosso in Cinque Terre these towns are only 5-10 minutes by train and 20-30 minutes by car. There are carparks at Levanto and Bonasolla at the beach.

🚆Traveling by train is also very convenient. Low season is cheap and easy. But in shoulder season and summer the queues are CRAZY! We recommend booking train tickets in advance.

LEVANTO and BONASSOLA, Liguria:

Old Town and Cute Piazzas
Cafes and Restaurants
Churches
Castle
Hiking Paths
Cycle Path connecting Levanto, Bonassola and Framura

In BONASSOLA, it was November and most things were closed!! But we enjoyed our stroll around the town and visited the Church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. We had lunch at Kantina Ristorante. A friendly local Italian place with a set menu, serving pasta and other meat dishes.

From relaxing on the beautiful beaches to hiking the picturesque trails, there's something for everyone on the Ligurian Riviera.

🧳If you're visiting Cinque Terre then Levanto is a great place to go for the day or to make your base! 👉Bonassola is much smaller, and a great base if you're looking for something less commercial and more authentically Italian!!
